This philosophy results in a better understanding and assessment of the opportunity set within the hedge fund universe and adds conviction to the investment decision-making process. In each hedge fund contact, we first review their documentation and then speak with a decision maker to better understand how they generate ideas and translate these ideas into a portfolio, how they manage portfolio risk, size positions, react to losses/drawdowns, and manage their business. We apply a proprietary 14-factor model to assess, score and benchmark a hedge fund.

With the ongoing hedge fund research and screening we do, the cross-referencing of individuals is more possible; i.e.: in the case of new hedge funds, there may be added value to knowing the hedge fund where the key decision-maker was once employed or was previously running.

The more hedge funds we speak with, the more we keep in touch with. We remain on their distribution list and keep up-to-date information on their return profile and developments. 

We may also schedule periodic calls and assist you with some of the hedge funds you are invested with already, as part of your ongoing due diligence and fiduciary responsibility process.
